Fort Wayne Luers Football Coach Fired Over "Inappropriate" Video Clips

Last updated on Sunday, September 23, 2012

(FORT WAYNE) -One of the state’s most successful high school football coaches will be watching the games from the stands for a while.

The South Bend Catholic Diocese fired Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Coach Matt Lindsay.

Chris Veech, reports, Lindsay's teams have won the past three 2A State Championships including last year's victory over Evansville Mater Dei. Lindsay was fired after school officials say "inappropriate" video clips of young people were found on his computer.

"We think we're putting our kids in private school," said Bishop Luers parent Michelle Parks, "and we're putting them in the best scenerios. But we're all human. We don't know who we're dealing with on a daily basis "

Investigators say none of the young people in the clips were nude, and they are not sure Lindsay broke any laws. But the school says he violated its ethical standards.
