(UNDATED) - Thunderstorms rolled into southern Johnson County with powerful winds toppling trees and delivering very large hail in and around the Edinburgh area.
Numerous instances of trees down from Edinburgh to Flat Rock in Southern Shelby County were also reported.
While the severe weather was limited and mostly isolated, most of Central Indiana was spared needed rainfall on the final day of July.
It was a July which was the warmest on record and produced the most 90 degree days ever in a month.
