(LOGANSPORT) - A 32-year-old Logansport man charged in a 2003 rape case faces new accusations he videotaped a woman and her daughter in a bathroom.
Jason Christopher Burkett was arrested Friday on two counts of voyeurism and preliminary charges of rape and criminal confinement from 2003, the Pharos-Tribune reported.
Burkett was originally sentenced to 40 years in prison in connection with the 2003 violent rape of his then-girlfriend, which he videotaped, police said.
But a special judge overturned the conviction in April after Burkett complained of problems with his defense attorney.
Burkett was out on bond awaiting a new trial in the rape case when he was accused of videotaping a woman and her daughter in a bathroom, prompting his bond to be revoked and warrants issued for his arrest.
Burkett was issued a no-contact order Monday for the woman and child in the most recent case.
