(TERRE HAUTE) - One person is dead after a fire.
Chris Essex, of WTHI reports, it happened Thursday evening near the intersection of 16 th and Walnut Streets in Terre Haute.
The fire was not immediately visible, though smoke consumed much of the home
Neighbors called the fire department just after 7:00.
The name of the individual is not being released at this time.
Rescue crews blocked roads nearby while fire crews put out the fire.
