(FRANKLIN) - Franklin Fire Department responded to a call that lightning had struck a residence and was on fire.
The home on the 1000 block of Country Meadow Rd. was struck Saturday afternoon. Lightning caused the attic to catch fire.
Nearby neighbors who saw smoke approached the home to warn the woman who lived there. Franklin Fire Department says the woman was unaware her attic was on fire.
The woman was evacuated from the home. There were no reported injuries.
