(WESTFIELD) - A Hamilton County man is accused of swinging a cat into a brick wall.

70-year-old Charles Boardman, is facing preliminary felony charges of torturing or mutilating a vertebrate animal.

Police said Boardman threw his neighbor's Siamese cat against a brick wall after the cat entered Boardman's apartment.

The cat's owner was moving into the building, and her cat escaped into Boardman's apartment twice, police said.

Police say the second time the cat entered his apartment, Boardman picked the cat up by its tail and swung it into a brick wall.
