Last updated on Tuesday, August 14, 2012

(VINCENNES) - Governor Mitch Daniels will join Ted Seger, president of Farbest Foods, other company executives and local representatives at 3:30 p.m. EST Tuesday for a groundbreaking ceremony of the new Farbest Foods processing plant to be built in Vincennes.

Farbest Foods, one of the nation's largest turkey companies, announced in December that it will create up to 600 new jobs in Indiana over the next few years.

The Huntingburg-based company will invest $69.2 million to build a 227,000 square-foot facility on 60 acres of land in the U.S. Highway 41 Industrial Park, and plans to begin operations there in January 2014.
