(MUNCIE) - A Muncie woman has been arrested on charges she took part in the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Karen Nicole Lunsford, 30, turned herself in Thursday morning on preliminary charges of rape and sexual misconduct with a minor, the Star Press reported.
Police said Lunsford and Paul Ryan Sherwood, 31, who is wanted on the same charges, forced a 15-year-old girl to have sex at her home in June.
The girl told police that her mother, Lunsford and Sherwood were drinking before her mother left about 1 a.m.
That's when the girl said Sherwood forced her to have sex with him as Lunsford kissed him, police said.
Lunsford was being held in the Delaware County Jail.
Police were still searching for Sherwood on Friday. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call Muncie police at 765-741-1350.
