(LAWRENCE) - Kyle Peavler, the man Lawrence police were searching for Thursday, has actually been behind bars since Monday.
Peavler is being held at the Marion County Jail on multiple charges, including criminal confinement and battery.
Lawrence police were searching for Peavler on a charge of criminal deviate conduct, a class A felony.
Police said Peavler has allegedly used his vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by a lone female, offered to exchange insurance information at a remote or poorly lit location and attempted to "compromise" the woman.
Officials said they believe Peavler might have had more than one victim.
