Police: Man Fatally Shoots Wife, Shoots Self During Argument

(HENDRICKS COUNTY) - Police believe an argument between a man and his wife resulted in a fatal shooting in Hendricks County.

Just before 10 p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to a home near 8000 North County Road 400 West on reports of shots fired.

When police arrived, they found a woman who had been fatally shot outside of the home, and a man suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

He was flown by medical helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with serious injuries, police said.

The victims' identities were not released.

Details surrounding the nature of the argument remained under investigation.
