(MUNCIE) - A Muncie woman was so drunk she couldn't tell officers the names of her four children, who were found living in filth, police said.

Donnica Tonyale Douglass, 36, was arrested on preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct, the Star Press reported.

A Child Protective Services worker called police Monday after she became alarmed when talking with Douglass on the phone, police said.

When officers arrived, they said they found one of Douglass' four children, who range in age from 2 to 13, in the family's trash-filled home.

The girl told police that she had not eaten in three days.

Police said the floors, furniture and beds in the home were covered with dirty clothing and food, and that the temperature inside was 85 degrees.

The other three children were found outside playing in a pool with no adult supervision, police said.

According to the police report, Douglass told officers she had been "stuck in a tire all day," and an officer noted that the "only thing she was worried about was the pimple on her face."

Douglass was taken to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital because of her high level of intoxication, yelling and cussing repeatedly before being taken to the Delaware County Jail, police said.

CPS took custody of the children.

Douglass was arrested in January on a drunken driving charge. Her trial in that case is set for Sept. 21.
