(MADISON) - The death investigation of a 1-month-old Madison boy leads to the arrest of the baby's mother, Indiana State Police said.

Police obtained a warrant to search the home of Aubrey Coy, 24, in the 900 block of Walnut Street in Madison as part of the investigation into the death of her infant son, Christopher Coy.

Coy's son was rushed to a hospital in Madison on June 7 and then airlifted to a Louisville, Ky., hospital, where he died two days later from blunt force head trauma, police said.

When investigators searched Coy's home on Tuesday, they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Coy was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.

The baby's father, also named Christopher Coy, 30, was arrested on Sunday in connection with the death of the infant.

Christopher Coy, is being held on a felony charge of neglect of a dependent, resulting in death, Indiana State Police said.
