(INDIANAPOLIS) - Hazmat crews are working to contain a chemical spill at General Chemical on the city's near south-side.

Just after 5 a.m., crews were dispatched to the plant in the 1500 block of South Senate Avenue.

Officials said 1,000 gallons of sulfuric acid mix leaked from a storage unit into a storm water drain.

There were no reports of any evacuations in the area and no word of any injuries.
