(CARROLL COUNTY) - A 10-year-old boy had to be rescued from a hole Thursday morning.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office got a call about 10 a.m. Thursday about a juvenile stuck in a hole.

Emergency personnel responded to 6555 W. 200 North in Delphi, Ind., where they found that a boy had fallen into an unattended hole left by the power company.

The hole was approximately 5 feet deep and 1 foot in diameter, police said. The boy's head was approximately 1 foot below ground level.

Crews removed the boy from the hole and transported him to IU Health Arnett Hospital for evaluation.
