(BROWNSBURG) - Criminal charges could be filed in a crash that killed a Brownsburg teen.
Christopher Hubbard, 17, of Brownsburg, was driving in the 6900 block of County Road 550 East on May 19 when his car struck a tree, police said.
A back seat passenger, Nathan Gentry, 18, suffered massive head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sean Bloomquist, 18, the front seat passenger, Taylor Lamonte, 16, a back seat passenger, and Hubbard were seriously injured. Ian Cherco, 16, suffered minor injuries.
Brownsburg police initially said that marijuana and alcohol were believed to be contributing factors in the crash because of victims' statements and paraphernalia found at the scene.
In a news release Tuesday, police said they had turned their completed investigation over to the Hendricks County Prosecutor's Office
"Due to the case involving information pertaining to juveniles, we are unable to make any statements reference this case," police said.
Gentry, Hubbard and Lamonte attended Brownsburg High School, while Cherco and Bloomquist are Tri-West students.
