2 Charged With Murder In Attica House Fire

(ATTICA) - Two men were charged with murder after an Attica house fire on May 8 resulted in the death of a 65-year-old man.

42-year-old David L. Purcell and Raymond L.S. Brown were arrested on the following charges: Murder, Arson Resulting in Bodily Injury, Burglary Resulting in Bodily Injury.

Both suspects are being held with no bond.

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8 at 601 S. Perry Street in Attica. There were also reports of two explosions at the residence according to Chief O'Farrell, but the cause of those possible explosions is still unknown at this time.

65-year-old Ronnie A. Shouf of Attica was killed in the fire.
