Last updated on Friday, May 25, 2012

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana Blood Center was unable to meet demand at Indiana hospitals for two blood types Friday morning - O-negative and A-negative.

In addition, supplies of other types are below what will be needed for average daily requests through Saturday.

Blood donors of all types are urged to visit an Indiana Blood Center donor center in the next 24 hours.

To entice race fans to donate, participants at all donor centers on Friday or Saturday will receive a race-themed t-shirt, while supplies last.

All donor centers are open Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
