(MOORESVILLE) - A house fire has claimed the life of a Morgan County man.
Fire crews are still on the scene of the fire at 219 Center Drive.
The house is in the Brookmoore Addition, a neighborhood just off of State Road 67, South of Mooresville.
Around 2:40 this morning a neighbor called fire dispatch to report seeing big flames on the next street over.
Firefighters from seven area fire departments responded.
The resident was located just inside the front door of the house by firefighters.
Efforts to revive the man failed. A chaplain and the Morgan County coroner have been called to the scene.
