(UNDATED) - A new Facebook feature is raising awareness about the importance of organ donation.
Facebook, along with Donate Life America, launched a new feature that connects users to online donor registries and also allows users to share their decisions with Facebook friends.
Facebook designers say hopefully the tool will get more people interested in becoming donors.
Currently, about 1,400 Hoosiers are on the waiting list for a donor.
At the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, organ donation registrations averaged nearly 1,000.
