(INDIANAPOLIS) - At 2 a.m. on Sunday morning 60 service members of the 419 Agribusiness Development Team arrived home to Indianapolis and were welcomed back to the open arms of family and friends.

The soldiers return home after nearly 10 months deployed in Afghanistan

"Its great especially since what time we got home. I am really excited that everybody was here and I'm just happy to be home," says Tony Poole a soldier returning home.

The soldiers were deployed to Afghanistan in July of last year for a non-combat deployment. Their mission was to help the country's government and locals to better understand agribusiness.

The soldiers taught Afghan farmers, updated farming techniques from raising animals to growing crops and maintenance.

Now that their mission is complete the soldiers have big plans ahead of them.

"Spending time with everybody. I just miss my girls and wife and I just want to stay home for a little while," says Poole. "Its good to be home. Miss the family miss the friends, glad to be back in the state of Indiana," explains Brandon Heck, a soldier returning home after being deployed for nearly 10 months.

To the loved ones they left behind for those 10 months, the soldiers will always be their heroes.

"We're very proud of him, we're just so grateful for people like Brandon and um and his partners and how they defend our country," says Jeff Reeder welcoming home his son-in-law. "Its been very tough on our daughter and our granddaughter, just looking forward to getting him home and safely and we thank God Almighty."

The 419th Agribusiness Development Team deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in July 2011.
