(EDGEWOOD) - Emergency workers from Anderson and Madison County search for a missing woman in the town of Edgewood, Ind.
According to Anderson Police Sgt. Jake Brown, officers were contacted by family members around 12:30 a.m. Monday requesting assistance locating a missing elderly family member.
Police located the body of the missing female after 1:00 a.m. Monday in the back yard swimming pool of a vacant home in the 500 block of Central Way, Edgewood.
The woman was taken to Saint John's Hospital in Anderson, Ind where an autopsy has yet to be scheduled.
