(KNOX COUNTY) - A traffic stop leads to a felony drug arrest.

Just after 9 p.m. Friday night, a Knox County deputy with his canine unit pulled over David Morris for speeding.

That's when the police canine signaled drugs were present. They found 13.8 ounces of cocaine and nine and a half grams of marijuana in the car.

A loaded handgun was also in a hidden engine compartment. The handgun was one of 17 stolen from a home in Indianapolis.

Morris faces several charges including possession of marijuana, dealing in cocaine, and possession of stolen property.

His two passengers, Danny Morton and Mark Bailey, were both arrested for visiting a common nuisance.

All three are from the Indianapolis area, and are now being held in the Knox County jail.
