Arrest Made In Television Shooting

(FARMERSBURG) - Just before 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, State Police arrested a former employee of WTWO NBC 2 for the overnight shooting.

Kenneth Trey Bolinger, age 24, of Farmersburg, IN was arrested and preliminarily charged with one count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. He is currently in the Sullivan County jail on $39,000 bond.

During the investigation of the shooting, officers received information that led them to investigate Bolinger as a possible suspect. As the investigation progressed, detectives were able to secure an arrest warrant for Bolinger, and a search warrant for his home. During the arrest and subsequent search of the premises, evidence was recovered which detectives believe is related to the WTWO NBC 2 shooting incident.

Original: Indiana State Police are investigating reports of gunfire damage to WTWO NBC 2 in Farmersburg. Police say that employees heard gunshots from outside the building around 4 a.m. Saturday. The damage was not discovered until daylight.

Police say multiple rounds had been fired through the main entrance front door glass and into one company vehicle. Multiple rounds were also fired into one privately owned vehicle.

There were no injuries reported.
