(UNDATED) - Westinghouse Lighting fans recalled due to fire, shock hazards.
The Pennsylvania-based company announced the recall of approximately 7,000 ceilings fans with 24, 30 and 42-inch diameter blades.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Westinghouse Lighting have issued a voluntary recall of ceiling fans that could cause fire and shock hazards.
The Pennsylvania-based company announced the recall of approximately 7,000 ceilings fans with 24, 30 and 42-inch diameter blades.
The recalled fans have two 60-watt light bulbs included, which exceed the fans maximum wattage. The fans can potentially overheat or fail, posing a threat of fire and shock hazards to consumers.
The fans have "Westinghouse" printed on the fan's ceiling canopy. They were sold at home improvement and hardware stores, home centers and electrical product suppliers nationwide from January 2011 to January 2012.
