Terre Haute Inmate Threatens Federal Judge

Last updated on Friday, March 23, 2012

(TERRE HAUTE) - An inmate at the Terre Haute Federal Corrections Complex admits to sending a threatening letter to a federal judge.

U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett says the letter contained a white, powdery substance and told the judge to 'smell this and die.'

Hogsett says 43 year old Michael Disch sent the letter sent to the Terre Haute federal courthouse for Judge Larry McKinney.

He also said this was not the first letter that Disch had sent McKinney.

Disch had made several complaints concerning his incarceration at the federal complex in Terre Haute.

Hogsett would not comment as to what may have led Disch to send a letter like this.
