(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis Star reports one of the defendants in the lawsuit over the State Fair stage collapse is asking a judge to order depositions from Sugarland.

The newspaper says Mid-America Sound is asking Marion Superior Court Judge Theodore Sosin to force Sugarland and it's ownership company, Lucky Star, Inc., to give depositions over the night last August when the stage rigging at the Indiana State Fair collapsed just before Sugarland was to take the stage. Mid-America Sound owned the stage at the State Fair and is one of the many defendants in the lawsuit along with Sugarland.

The Star says court documents filed last week by Mid-America say the band is scheduled to give depositions next week but is refusing to do so. They say the band has also not scheduled an alternative time to file the depositions. Judge Sosin has scheduled a hearing on the matter which is set for this Friday at 10 a.m..
