Officials: Storm Victims Need To Reach Out To FEMA

Last updated on Sunday, March 11, 2012

(UNDATED) - Now that six Southern Indiana counties are federal disaster areas, the next challenge is to get people to call FEMA for help.

Aid is available to those who live in Clark, Jefferson, Ripley, Scott, Warrick and Washington counties.

Among the assistance available are rental payments for temporary housing for those whose homes are unlivable, grants for home repairs and replacement of essential household items not covered by insurance, and unemployment payments up to 26 weeks for workers who temporarily lost jobs because of the disaster.
