Last updated on Wednesday, March 28, 2012

(PETERSBURG) - According to Gibson County Dispatch, the incident happened just before 10:00 Tuesday morning, at the Five Star Mine, just West of Petersburg.

So far, Five Star Mine is refusing to comment on what actually happened, but we know through dispatch that Air-Evac was called to transport one employee to the hospital.

Another employee was reportedly pulled to safety after the mine collapsed.

The spokesperson for the mine says that one of the men suffered an injury to his ankle - but he has been treated and released.

The other man suffered a cracked pelvis and was admitted to the hospital.

The two were working near underground vehicles when they were hit. Neither of the men were pinned and both are expected to make full recoveries.
