INDOT Places New Travel-Time Signs On Highways

Last updated on Friday, March 23, 2012

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A more time- and eco-conscious commuter is the goal of INDOT’s new travel-time signs that can be seen on I-65 near Greenwood and other highways throughout the Indianapolis metro area.

The signs which cost about $150,000 each were funded through a federal grant. The highways have road sensors that can calculate time and let travelers be more informed. All signs are expected to be up and running by April 21.
