(HENRYVILLE)(AP) - A southern Indiana school corporation is collecting new and gently used books to replenish the libraries of a neighboring school district devastated by last week's tornadoes.

The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., reports ( http://cjky.it/xBY4hZ ) that Greater Clark County Schools have begun collecting books as well as donations to purchase new books for West Clark Community Schools.

West Clark Community Schools' three-school campus in Henryville was badly damaged by last week's tornadoes. Henryville teacher Shawn Turners says few books survived when one of the tornadoes ravaged the district's high school library.

Greater Clark County Schools says the donated books and donation checks specifying the money is for "Henryville Libraries" can be mailed to the Greater Clark administration building, 2112 Utica-Sellersburg Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
