(INDIANAPOLIS) - A court officer faces five years on probation after pleading guilty to sexual misconduct.
According to court documents, Scott Downwin oversaw court-ordered community service and arranged jobs so he could be alone with those charged as prostitutes. He then intimidated the woman and allowed them to perform sexual favors instead of community service work.
Downwin was arrested in November 2010, and his sentencing Monday followed a guilty plea. He received a five-year suspended sentence and five years of probation.
