(SEYMOUR) Three children were removed from the home of a Seymour man and woman accused of selling drugs in the presence of the children.
The children were placed in the custody of the county's Division of Child Services. Police went to the home after receiving an anonymous tip, requesting police check on the children.
The incident happened after police searched the home of 38-year-old Greco R. Lewis and 44-year-old Mia Leean Becker at 117 E. Brown St.
Seymour Police Detective C.J. Foster says Lewis face charges of possession of marijuana less than 30 grams, possession with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon, possession of marijuana and taking a juvenile to the location of a drug sale.
Becker faces charges of possession with the intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana greater than 30 grams, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, taking a juvenile to the location of a drug sale and three counts of neglect of a dependent.
Lewis was being held on $50,005 bond and Becker was being held on a $10,005 bond.
Foster says the charge of taking a juvenile to the location of a drug sale stems from the sale of drugs from the home.
Seymour Police Officer Justin Franklin responded to the original complaint and was assisted by Sgt. Michael Cooper and officers Ian McPherson, Jeremy Soliday and Cpl. Bart Bevers.
