Indiana Airman And Wife Arrested On Arson Charges

(Peru) - An Indiana airman and his wife are facing arson charges following a fire at their home.

The Indiana State Fire Marshel's Office arrested Benn Durr and his wife, Wendy, Wednesday.

Investigators said they believe a fire at the Durr's Cass County at 202 North Davis Street in Walton back in September 2011 was intentionally set. Due to pending legal action, no more details can be released.

Officials arrested Ben Durr, with the United States Air Force, at Grissom Air Force Base in Peru, Ind. He faces a charge of arson, a class C felony. His wife faces conspiracy to commit arson, also a class C felony.

Investigators with the State Marshal's Office have full arrest powers in Indiana. The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office is a division of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
