Greenwood Schools On Lockdown

Last updated on Monday, January 16, 2012

(GREENWOOD) - Greenwood schools were on lockdown Friday morning when calls were made to Southwest Elementary and Greenwood Middle School saying a man with an AK-47 was in the parking lots.

The elementary school also received a bomb threat a short time later. Police searched the schools and found nothing. Greenwood Assistant Police Chief Matt Fillenwarth says there is reason to believe the calls were related to Wednesday's bomb threat at Greenwood Middle School, and the department is working on tracking down the caller.

Sugar Grove Elementary received a bomb threat and Johnson County Sheriff's Officer and Center Grove police searched that school.
