(INDIANAPOLIS) - The House Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee passed the right-to-work legislation at the Indiana Statehouse Tuesday morning.

The committee passed the bill with an 8-5 vote. The legislation seeks to ban contracts that would require workers to pay union fees for representation.

The bill will now move to the House of Representatives for their approval.

House Democratic Leader Patrick Bauer said House Democrats could boycott again in order to stall the passing of the bill.

The Democrats returned to the Indiana Statehouse Monday, ending a three-day boycott.
