Columbus Police See Dramatic Increase In Firearms Seized

(COLUMBUS) - Police saw a dramatic increase in the number of firearms seized in 2011.

Police report 84 firearms were taken in, compared with just 37 in 2010.

Police Chief Jason Maddix says it represents a large danger, which is one of the reasons that officers are out doing more patrols and trying to protect residents.
