(KOKOMO)(WISH) - Kokomo Police preliminary charged a man with murder Thursday morning after finding a 67-year-old woman dead in a home.
Officers went to the home in the 1500 block of West Markland Avenue, Thursday on a request to check on someone there. When they arrived, they had to force their way into the house. They found the woman dead on the floor.
After investigating, officers were led to 50-year-old Ronald Calvert, who had been arrested earlier Thursday on an unrelated charge. He was also preliminarily charged with murder.
Police are waiting for positive identification of the woman to be made before releasing her name.
