(COLUMBUS) - Detective Jason Maddix will be Columbus’ next police chief.
Mayor-elect Kristen Brown said she chose Maddix from a field of eight candidates.
He will take over for current chief Jim Worton on Jan. 1, the same day Brown replaces Fred Armstrong as mayor.
