(COLUMBUS) - A woman suffered minor injuries Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. after she was struck by the butt of a firearm when two masked men attempted to rob her home in downtown Columbus.
Police said two masked men broke into the home in the 700 block of 8th Street while the family was watching television. The male homeowner fought with the suspects. During the scuffle the homeowner's wife walked into the room.
The men demanded cash and when the wife couldn't locate any they hit her with the butt of a long gun. The wife was treated at the scene.
Three small children at the home were not injuried.
