Things Looking Up For Those Looking For Work

Last updated on Monday, November 7, 2011

(UNDATED) - Things are looking up for people looking for a job in Indiana, according to economists at Indiana University.

They project 40,000 jobs will be added in Indiana next year, but say the state won't reach pre-recession employment levels until 2014.

The panel says the nation will continue to see a slow recovery from the recession. Home construction is expected to increase 30 percent next year, although that would still be only half of pre-recession levels. Indiana's unemployment rate was just under 9 percent in September.
