Recession Could Take A Decade To Recover From

Last updated on Tuesday, November 22, 2011

(UNDATED) How long will it take states to recover from the recession?

I.H.S. Global Insight, the world's largest economics organization, says it will take a long time.

In fact, the groups Jim Diffley say, it is a recession that could take up to a decade to recover from.

He says Indiana had a large downturn in the manufacturing sector that actually started in 2007 and 2008. He says Indiana is now in a relatively good position going forward.

The state didn't have a huge real estate crisis, although many Hoosier homeowners have been hit hard by foreclosure.
