Police Still Trying To Identify Man's Body

Last updated on Friday, November 18, 2011

(FORT WAYNE) - The Allen County Coroner’s Office still knows very little about the decomposed body found in a wooded area in the 2600 block of Hobson Road Wednesday, even after an autopsy was performed Thursday afternoon.

The Coroner released the autopsy report around 3:40 p.m., that said the body is that of a white man, but they have not yet positively identified him. Investigators also said the cause and manner of death are still pending.

The man's identity will be released when it has been confirmed and when next of kin has been notified.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Coroner's Office. Police haven't said whether they suspect any foul play was involved.
