Monrovia Teacher Accused Of Rape Has Bond Reduced

Last updated on Wednesday, November 2, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Marion County judge on Tuesday reduced the bond of a Monrovia High School teacher charged with rape and other sex-related charges involving a 16-year-old student.

The girl's father told the judge that his family would be scared if 45-year-old Dan Goens, was released, but the judge reduced Goens' $40,000 bond to $20,000.

Goens will be placed on GPS monitoring if he posts bail. He has entered a plea of not guilty Monday to the charges.
