Man Awarded Mary Kay Pink Cadillac

Last updated on Tuesday, November 22, 2011

DETRIOT (WDIV/NBC) - For the 1st time, Mary Kay has awarded the pink Cadillac to a man.

Jim Cundiff from Garden City, MI, was awarded the most coveted award Mary Kay car present to their consultants and he says he's proud to drive it.

Cundiff became a Mary Kay Consultant in 2001 and worked his way up to sales director and sold thousands. Although Cundiff has received award after award for his sales success, he says he didn't start selling Mary Kay to earn a pink Cadillac but for a greater reason. He started selling so he could keep his parents out of a nursing home, and selling Mary Kay was the only way to do that.

Cundiff gets to drive the pink Cadillac around for two years. If he decides not to keep it, it goes back to the dealership, where it has to be repainted - because no one else is allowed to drive the pink Mary Kay Cadillac.
