Assistant Band Director Arrested After Misconduct Allegations

(LOUISVILLE)(WDRB) - A part-time, assistant band director for Madison Consolidated Schools has been arrested and charged with sexual misconduct with a minor and child seduction.

Madison Police Chief Yancy Denning said his officers arrested 25-year-old Jacob Minton Blanton, at his home in Scottsburg, Wednesday afternoon

Madison police said two possible victims told detectives Blanton had an inappropriate relationship with them.

Madison police contacted Madison Consolidated High School officials about their investigation Nov. 18, and the school administration then placed Blanton on administrative leave, the release said.

Blanton charged with sexual misconduct with a minor and two counts of child seduction. Police said they may file additional charges later.
