Teen Charged With Murder After Escaping Juvenile Facility

(TERRE HAUTE) - The teen who ran away from Gibault Juvenile Center, and lead Terre Haute Police on a fatal chase, is charged with murder.

17-year-old Andre Moton already faced the felonies of murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, carjacking, attempt to commit: car jacking, resisting law enforcement and escape.

Moton was driving the stolen pickup truck with two other teens, passenger Therlow Pope the fourth died of his injuries from the ensuing chase and accident.

Moton is being held in the Vigo County Jail on no bond. He'll appear in court on Tuesday.
