POW's Body Returned To Indiana

WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. (AP) - The remains of an Indiana soldier who died while he was a prisoner during the Korean War will be buried this weekend near his hometown.

Henry "Juney" Gustafson grew up in Fountain County, southwest of Lafayette. He was 18 when North Korean troops captured him in December of 1950.

Mearle Inman says his nephew wrote from a POW camp saying he was wounded, without food, medicine or heat. His remains are among those of about 400 American troops returned from mass burial grounds in 1993 identification were finished in June.

Services are planned for Saturday at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, with burial next to his mother at West Lebanon Cemetery.
