Marijuana Found In Table Leg At UPS Hub

Last updated on Tuesday, October 18, 2011

(LOUISVILLE) - A major marijuana bust has been made at the UPS hub in Louisville.

According to a press release, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers discovered almost 25 pounds of marijuana worth $75,000 hidden inside a wooden table shipped from Mexico.

The officers found the drugs on October 11 after routine x-rays found irregularities within the table.

Smugglers created a hollow cavity in the pedestal where the marijuana was found. The table was in route to Iowa.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.
