Woman Remains In Coma Following Stage Collapse

Last updated on Thursday, September 8, 2011

(PENDLETON) - A Pendleton woman who was injured in the August 13th stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair has yet to come out of her coma.

30-year-old Andrea Vellinga is in stable condition, however she is not awake and still remains in a coma. Her brother, Tyler Voss says Andrea has made a lot of progress, but he adds that her recovery is going to be slow.

Doctors will only be able to determine what damage was done when she awakens and begins to form behavior patterns.

Voss wants everyone to know how grateful the family is over the tremendous support they have received from Pendleton, surrounding communities and the entire state.
