(INDIANAPOLIS) - State Fair leaders are awaiting recommendations from outside consultants on whether and how to change public safety policies.
In her first public comments since last month's stage collapse, State Fair Executive Director Cindy Hoye told the State Fair Board and Commission that consultants Venue Solutions Group will deliver recommendations for changes to put into effect for upcoming fairgrounds events.
Hoye says the group is also reviewing the current emergency response plan for suggested updates as well.
The full report from Venue Solutions and an engineering consultant are expected in six-to-eight months.
